Our story
It started on a random Thursday night.
After my gap year in Israel, I started at the University of Florida in 2015. One Thursday the Chabad rebbetzin invited me over to bake challah, and two things clicked: I really missed Israel, and making challah filled that gap.
I started baking for friends until someone said "this is so good, I'd buy it." From then on I baked every Friday and sold to Greek life and beyond, until I graduated in December 2018 and a Monday-to-Friday office job put it on pause.
Then 2020 happened. I went remote, moved to LA that August, and revived it the same week as Challahback LA. Two years and hundreds of challahs later I moved to Paris, where the pastry competition is tough, but I never stopped baking.
Now I've come full circle back to Israel, and Challahback LA is back. Let's see where this goes.
